The Tasmanian Young Farmer Competition is an annual contest that assesses agricultural knowledge, both practical and theoretical and boasts fantastic prize packages for winners.
The competition is contested over two rounds, the Run-Offs and the State Final. The Run-Offs are the first round where anyone can enter, member or not. The top 10 finalists from this round go through to the State Final held at Quercus Park. Competitors contest through modules which can be anything associated with farming and agriculture. The day of the State Final is finished with the top 5 competitors battling it out that night at the Young Farmer dinner competing in the final two modules - Public Speaking and Quiz. It is always a fun day where even people who know very little about farming can test their skills and enjoy learning something new!
We have many sponsors for the Young Farmer competition which make prizes for the final five well worth winning!
