More than 55,700 patrons came through the gates at Agfest 2026 across the three-day event, once again cementing Agfest as one of Australia’s premier agricultural field days.
Behind every successful Agfest is an incredible team of dedicated volunteers — and this year was no exception. Rural Youth Tasmania members worked tirelessly in the lead-up to and throughout the event, contributing countless hours to ensure patrons, exhibitors and visitors experienced the very best Agfest has to offer.
From gate operations, to exhibitor support, feature coordination, catering, logistics and pack-up, members stepped up in every corner of Quercus Park to help deliver another outstanding event for Tasmania.
Agfest is proudly organised by the volunteer members of Rural Youth Tasmania, with over 100 members and past members bringing together what has grown to be Tasmania's largest field days.
The event has grown from attracting 9,000 patrons in 1983 to now welcoming more than 55,000 visitors annually, contributing significantly to the Tasmanian economy and agricultural sector.
To every member who gave up weekends, travelled long distances, attended working bees, volunteered during the event, or supported behind the scenes — thank you. Your passion, commitment and teamwork are what make Agfest possible year after year.
The success of Agfest 2026 is a reflection of the strength of young people in agriculture and regional Tasmania, and Rural Youth Tasmania is incredibly proud of everyone involved.
We look forward to doing it all again in 2027!
